Job Description

SUMMARY

Servtech, A Roeslein Company, seeks an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety initiatives in manufacturing for energy, mining, industrial power, and bio-energy solutions. This individual must be detail-oriented, committed to safety, and capable of working independently and in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead by example, uphold company standards, and address safety issues with urgency.
  • Train new employees, develop teams, and provide feedback for annual evaluations.
  • Enforce company policies and escalate violations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for troubleshooting and safety issue resolution.
  • Identify and report safety risks in a timely manner.
  • Oversee employee schedules, pay rates, and working conditions.
  • Implement accident prevention programs and compliance initiatives.
  • Conduct safety training for personnel, including working in hazardous environments.
  • Maintain PPE requirements and oversee personal hazardous gas monitor calibration.
  • Train personnel on H2S site safety and proper equipment usage.
  • Report injuries to OSHA, maintain logs, and conduct incident investigations.
  • Perform regular safety audits, equipment checks, and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Develop Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and ensure employee awareness of hazards.
  • Provide leadership in EHS compliance, training, and risk management.
  • Ensure all safety-related documentation is maintained accurately.
  • Conduct system checks and maintain hazardous atmosphere monitoring equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement through safety audits and Lean 5S initiatives.
  • Lead emergency response teams and safety committees.
  • Standardize safety procedures, audits, inspections, and training across locations.
  • Assist in environmental compliance for hazardous waste, stormwater, and air permits.
  • Conduct industrial hygiene functions such as noise assessments and air monitoring.
  • Review contracts and proposals with EHS Director.
  • Provide solutions to complex safety and compliance challenges.

SKILL / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required; minimum of 5 years of EHS experience.
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or oil and gas preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of NFPA, API, EPA, OSHA, and relevant industry standards.
  • Familiarity with ISNetworld, PEC, Avetta, NCMS, and TPS Alert safety programs.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ISN site software experience preferred.
  • Ability to respond to rapidly changing circumstances and develop safety solutions.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, safety auditing, and training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in both office and uncontrolled environments, with possible exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures. Travel to domestic and international job sites may be required, with potential for non-standard living accommodations. Compliance with all safety standards and PPE requirements is mandatory.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regular walking, standing, handling tools, climbing, kneeling, and balancing required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
