D3 Search is actively recruiting an accomplished Family Law Associate Attorney for a respected and growing family law practice situated in Glendale, CA (91203).

Position Title :

Family Law Associate Attorney

  • Note: 2.5+ years of FAMILY LAW experience is REQUIRED.

Position Summary :

This mid-level Family Law Associate Attorney role is responsible for the full oversight of all assigned client cases, including case research, client relationship management, diligent counsel, intra-firm coordination, and case outcomes.

Reporting to the firm's Founding Partners, the Family Law Associate Attorney will take a focused approach in delivering high-quality client service via effective case management and high-value legal counsel within their area of specialty ( family law ) and legal practice.

Essential Functions :

  • Ensure high quality counsel and legal advice to all assigned clients, prospects, 3rd party partners, and affiliates.
  • Perform legal research and prepare legal memoranda in order to effectively advise clients on a range of topics and areas of focus within the scope of family law.
  • Directly manage, supervise, and lead assigned administrative personnel (e.g., Legal Assistants, Paralegals, and Senior Paralegals), providing resource and direction as needed, in support of their performance.
  • Generate business by building, retaining, and growing trusted client relationships via ongoing communication, maintaining a thorough understanding of client needs, interests, concerns, goals, options, etc.
  • Develop strategies and arguments to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for all assigned clients.
  • Ensure thorough execution of drafting and reviewing documents as it pertains to assigned cases and projects.
  • Ensure preparation of legal documents, such as motions, depositions, pleadings, discovery (propounding and responding) etc. in a timely manner and that all case/business related materials (records, letters, legal documents, case files, correspondence, financial reports, invoices, etc.) are effectively managed for efficient and high-value client service and case outcomes.
  • Maintain effective coordination with opposing counsel and other involved parties as needed.
  • Conduct all matters in an ethical fashion in accordance with the law and in the interest of the client.

Education & Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 2.5+ years of experience in family law practice (REQUIRED) ;
  • JD degree and licensed/good standing with the California Bar (REQUIRED);
  • Knowledge & expertise of family law/matrimonial matters (REQUIRED);
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage other team members, delegate effectively, problem-solve, prioritize work, manage time, and organize tasks effectively;
  • Proficient communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to effectively research, read, interpret, and organize information with accuracy and consistency;
  • Ability to maintain remain focused and professional in high-tense situations (e.g., communicating with highly stressed clients throughout difficult cases);
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all organizational levels within a diverse and fast paced environment;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

Salary/Compensation/Benefits:

Starting salary is 150K+ | DOE/DOQ. Full health benefits package, generous PTO, paid parking onsite, yearly review, annual salary increases and bonuses (based on individual performance & merit), etc.

Annual Billables Goal:

1600 hrs. target.
